“Good hostel ”

Really cool hostel in a nice area, genuinely enjoyed staying here and staff were really nice. If you're doing the whitsundays trip the staff were really helpful with any questions etc. Very sociable place too and the rooms were clean. Alana who worked here, her service really stood out and made my visit very enjoyable!

“Airlie beach visit ”

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights. The hostel was clean, with two kitchens both well equipped and spacious. There is a wifi hub in the middle of the site and the rooms had working air con and mini fridges. It is also a very short walk to Airlie beach and has funky bars, cheap food, and a Woolworths on your doorstep. The staff on reception were very helpful, with special thanks to Mary who was very accommodating and friendly. We'd definitely come back to magnu

“One of the best hostels I ever stayed in!!!”

The hostel has a central location next to Woolworths and Maccas. The whole resort looks really beautiful, even after the cyclone. The cabins all have a private toilet and balcony which is a nice extra. Also there is free wifi and plugs at the barbecue area. Totally worth a stay and the best hostel in Airlie Beach from what I heard and experienced.

“Best hostel I've stayed in”

I am not a big fan of hostels so was slightly dreading this as I assumed it would be a loud party hostel! However I was very pleasantly surprised by magnums and we had a great stay there. It was lively and fun but not overboard and there were lots of signs about no noise after 10pm or drinking in the rooms. Everyone just went to the bar (which was also great with good live music and pool tables!)

We stayed in a block of double rooms which may have been why it was quieter - the dorms and cabins probably are more likely to be noisy. The room was small but it was clean and had everything you need including a fan, air conditioning, lots of sockets and a fridge which was really handy. The bathrooms down the corridor were clean with a good shower. We were on the top floor with a little balcony looking over the creek. There are laundry facilities and you can borrow a hair drier. The room doesn't have a safe but they will store valuables at reception. There is no wifi in the room but there is a free wifi zone in the middle of the complex. There is also a big kitchen and eating area. You have to pay $10 for a towel, $7 of which you get back when you check out. This is the same as other hostels I've stayed in and the towels were fluffy and clean so no complaints!

Staff were also really friendly on the whole especially Mary who checked us in. She took lots of time to explain things to us and recommend tours. She was very welcoming.

Magnums has something for everyone whether you are there to party or just relax ☀️

“Great stay!!”

By far one of the best places I have stayed! Amazing scenery throughout the hostel, trees and birds everywhere!! Right in the middle of town so walking everywhere is easy! Great if your alone or with a partner or a couple friends! Thanks!

Great place! Amazing showers!”

Okay I'm not one to stay hostels, I was playing a gig at magnums and was looking for hotels in the area for me and a friend. Found air bnb and then was offered the hostel bunk bed for the 2 nights I was playing. So I took it... It's only $60 a night but honestly it was more comfortable than the Airbnb. Great aircon and although the bathrooms are "shared" I never even saw anyone else using them. Best part is that it's right in the heart of the city so you can stumble back and have no worries!

“Nice stop over :) ”

Really cool hostel right in the middle of Airlie Beach. Room was a good size and had it's own fridge!

Very good bar right out the front with live music every night. There's also a supermarket right behind the hostel.

Would stay again :)

“Best hostel of our East Coast travels! ”

Really impressed with the quality of this hostel. When we arrived the reception staff were friendly, especially Alana who was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The double accommodation was clean and spacious and situated close to the showers and toilets, kitchen, wifi and bar areas. Communal areas were clean and never crowded. The hostel was relaxing and quiet with a tropical theme. Great location in Airlie Beach. We're looking forward to coming back to stay at Magnums after our Whitsundays Sailing trip!
