“I need to cancel the booking, what should I do?”

Just give us a call at least 24 hours prior to your arrival so we can resell the bed. As you did not pay for your accommodation in advance, no cancelation fee applies.

Group Bookings – Booking of Sole use of Dorms or more than 4 private rooms require at least 50% advance deposit with balance to be paid no later than 5 days PRIOR to arrival. No Refund after that.

“How do I get there?”

“Arriving by bus or do you drive the car?”
Magnums is located on the Main Street, under the Clock Tower, just 5 minutes walking distance from Transit Centre- past McDonalds.
To park your car, use Car park behind the McDonald for discounted rate of $4.00/24 Hours (purchase the permit at Magnums Tour Desk)

“Flying into the Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast Airport)?”
Catch the Taxi or local shuttle bus (Whitsunday Transit).

“Flying into Hamilton Island (Hamilton Island Airport)?”
Book the Ferry across to Abel Point Marina. Connection busses are available upon ferry arrival to Marina. We are just 10 minutes drive from Marina.

“I am 17 years old. Can I stay at MAGNUMS?”

Unfortunately MAGNUMS Backpackers is licensed premise and you must be over 18 years old.

“Is Magnums 24 Hours “CHECK IN” Hostel?”

Our Reception is open from 6:30 am to 9:30 pm. You can check in after hours to Private Rooms ONLY. You will be asked to produce and leave behind Government issued ID (Passport/Drivers License) and credit card as security deposit. $10.00 fee for check in apply.

“Can I check out when I want?”

Please note that check out time is at 10am. A late fee will be charged after 10am. The full room will be charged after 12pm.
