It is important for me to stay at an eco-friendly accommodation, is Magnums Eco certified?
Yes! Magnums is Eco certified for Nature Tourism with Eco Tourism Australia. Doing our part to keep the Whitsundays, Australia and the rest of the planet green is a priority at Magnums.
Did you know Magnums has been purpose-built in line with our Eco ethos since the start? When building, we maximised natural ventilation to bathrooms and toilets via breezeways and positioned buildings to avoid heat loads from the western sun.
Roof rainwater is also diverted into open rubble surface drains, that allow the water to soak the garden beds naturally.
During construction, Magnums used insulation materials in walls and roof to maximise energy efficiency. Ceilings and verandahs were constructed to let as much natural light in as possible. We also used renewable materials such as timber and we chose environmentally sensitive paint.
Magnums walkways are signed and designed to minimise disturbance to trees and vegetation within the property.
Magnums is also a partner in the EcoBiz and the Healthy Heart Reef programs. These accreditations and partnerships have definitely changed the way we do things, for the better and we are committed to continue this journey in the years to come.
I only have a few hours left in Airlie Beach, what should I do?
We can certainly help! If you have already checked out, please note that you must not re-enter our facilities as our resort is only for registered guests. However, our team can store your luggage for you for a few hours and we can certainly look into some amazing tours for you, even if you only have a few hours left. Have you thought of a jetski tour, Segway tour, or a sunset sail? Maybe we can give you a few of our secrets on where to find the best seafood platter in town or where the best coffee is… The lagoon is also a great place to hang out, with BBQ areas and sublime views of the Coral Sea. We know Airlie Beach better than anyone else so if you have any questions, our team is here!
I would like more info on the Conway National Park

The Conway National Park offers 75km of coastline, nested between Proserpine and Shute Harbour. It includes Swamp Bay, Mount Rooper, HoneyEater Lookout, Coral Beach, Cedar Creek Falls, and lots more.

Can I bring my pet?
Unfortunately, no. Magnums is not pet-friendly. We seriously looked into this option to become a pet-friendly accommodation, however, we were advised that the property is not well suited to the comfort and safety of accommodating guests travelling with pets.
Is there a pool in the resort?
There is no pool at Magnums, however, we are only metres away from the famous Airlie Beach Lagoon, complete with BBQ areas and plenty of space to have a swim! Magnums also has lots of shaded sitting areas throughout the resort to relax and enjoy the tropical surroundings. Have you seen our hammock and picnic area? Heaven!
